Myrtle Beach sits on a stretch of land (technically an island) called the Grand Strand. This area of land is 60 miles of beautiful oceanfront. There are 4 main roads coming into Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand which is surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. The amount of activities and the vast number of hotels and restarants make Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand very popular. Everywhere you go especially during the summer months you will see people swimming, sunbathing, Jetskiing, fishing, parasailing, boating, shelling, and lots more.

Myrtle Beach is one of the nations top vacation destinations by people from all over the world, roughly 14 million annual visitors to give you an idea, flocking to a city of about 25,000. The population of Myrtle Beach during peak days can reach a few hundred thousand. People come here for the beach, the attractions, shopping, golf, events all throughout the year, and many more reasons.

The Grand Strand starts at the North and South Carolina borders going southward to the Historic city Georgetown, where the Winyah Bay is formed by 5 rivers. In Myrtle Beach you will find many amusement and water parks to keep you occuppied for your entire stay. If golf is your thing, get out the clubs because and head for one of 120 plus beautiful golf courses. After a day of golf head over to one of 1700 plus restaurants, then catch a show at one of the theaters or go dancing at one of the many clubs. Of course a stay wouldn't be complete without catching some rays or taking a dip in the Atlantic Ocean. You can't come to Myrtle Beach and say that there wasn't enough to do as it will probably be the opposite.
